LOCATION
Dunranch House is situated in the Northern suburbs of Pietermaritzburg, in Wembley, at the corner of Old Howick and Mitchell road. We are a five minute drive from the CBD, with access to all local amenities and well known events such as the Comrades Marathon, Dusi Canoe Marathon, Midmar Mile, Royal Show, Art in the Park and more hosted in and around the city.
For the keen golfers, the picturesque Victoria Country Golf Club and Queen Elizabeth Park are just around the corner.
Step out of Pietermaritzburg’s city limits and explore the famous Midlands Meander or go fishing at Midmar Dam. Visit the Howick Falls which are all only fifteen minutes away.
With easy access to and from the N3 freeway linking Johannesburg and Durban, we are one hour to Durban and one and a half hours to the Drakensburg Mountains.
DESCRIPTION
Dunranch House’s B&B comprises of three stylish en-suite private and secure double/twin rooms with their own verandas overlooking our lush gardens. The thatched self-catering cottage sleeps four people and the bachelor pad sleeps one. In total we can accommodate eleven guests at any given time throughout the year.
The en-suite rooms are equipped with DSTV, WIFI, fans, air conditioners, heaters, digital safes, microwaves, bar fridges and complimentary tea and coffee making facility.
The cottage comprises of two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other room with two single beds, lounge, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with DSTV, WIFI, fans and heaters. This unit has its own private entrance.
The bachelor pad is ideal for a guest looking for basic affordable accommodation. It comprises of a single bed with an en-suite bathroom equipped with DSTV, WIFI, heater, fan and a complimentary tea and coffee making facility. (No kitchenette).
A laundry service is available to all guests Monday to Friday at a nominal fee.
All rates include a scrumptious English breakfast which is served to your specifications in the observatory.
